DESCRIPTION:Join Keep Tempe Beautiful on Saturday\, November 21st to clean up LoPiano Park East and remove invasive stinknet. \n \nWe will be at the Public Tempe Town Lake Parking near the Town Lake Marina Boat Launch (550 E Tempe Town Lake\, Tempe\, AZ 85288). \nHere is more information on what we will be working on: \no Trash and litter removal \no Stinknet removal (pictures below for reference) \n \nIf you need additional support in identifying stinknet\, we recommend the iNaturalist app (press + to create a new observation\, take a photo\, then review suggestions). \nIf you would like to support larger efforts to stop the spread\, please report your findings on Stinknet.org (push the red button\, input the details\, then submit). \nBring water\, sunscreen\, hat and gloves. Your time slot will start and end on time; we won’t ask you to stay longer. \nThere is no minimum age to participate in this event and we will have staff on-site to sign any documents for community service requirements. \n1 Hour Shifts – 3 Shifts in Total: 8am-9am\, 9am-10am\, 10am-11am. \nYou are welcome to sign up for one session or multiple. \nWe are also looking for Day Chairs to assist in managing the event! \nDay Chairs are the lifeblood of our operations and are the first step to greater leadership opportunities within Keep Tempe Beautiful. Some of the things Day Chairs are tasked with are event setup\, teardown\, sign-in\, sign-out\, event raffles (if applicable)\, parking lot attendance\, diverting trash from recyclables\, photo/video taker\, and more (these aren’t things that you choose; rather\, everyone does a little of each depending where the needs are during the event)! \nTo show our appreciation for the longer time commitment you are making\, each Day Chair will receive: \n\nOne FREE State Forty Eight Keep Tempe Beautiful Branded Neon Tee to be worn and utilized during the event for working as a Day Chair.
