March 3rd 2023 Angels Spring Training Recycling & Diversion

Join Keep Tempe Beautiful on Friday, March 3rd at the Tempe Diablo Stadium to help with the City of Tempe’s recycling and diversion efforts during the Angels Spring Training Game.
Here is more information on what we will be working on:
Diablo Stadium (2200 W Alameda Dr, Tempe, AZ 85282):
2 Shifts (11:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and 2:15 – 5:00 p.m)
o Recycling Diversion (Proactively Remove Trash from Recycling Containers and Recyclables from Trash Containers)
The meeting place will be the base of the steps leading up to the main stadium gates in the event photo.
We will provide you each with several pairs of nitrile gloves as well as one puncture proof glove that you can wear on the hand that you will be using to pull items out of the containers with.
These are more protective gloves but they are very expensive, so we will be gathering them after each shift.
Bring full water bottle, sunscreen, and hat.
Your time slot will start and end on time; we won’t ask you to stay longer.
Must be 14 years of age to participate in this event and we will have staff on-site to sign any documents for community service requirements.
